For our brand-new restaurant The Blonde in Overveen, we are looking for a Maître-Sommelier with refined taste – someone with a natural sense of hospitality, a true passion for wine, and a keen eye for detail.

In this key position, you’ll be both the face of our front of house and the curator of our wine list – a gracious leader who elevates service and experience.

Soon to open in our award-winning boutique hotel Blendin Bloemendaal: The Blonde – a restaurant perched atop the dunes, with a panoramic view of the sea.

Your Role as Maître-Sommelier

As the face of the restaurant, you welcome our guests with genuine attention, guide them through their evening, and effortlessly translate our story to the table. As a wine expert, you curate the wine list, offer pairing recommendations, and ensure every glass perfectly complements the dish – and the guest.

Together with the front-of-house team, which you lead and coach daily, you build a service experience that is flawless down to the smallest detail. You have a strong sense for presentation and ambiance, oversee smooth floor operations, and manage planning, purchasing, and performance.

You’ll work closely with our F&B Manager – an experienced Michelin-starred chef – and have the freedom to leave your mark on the style and experience of The Blonde.

Who You Are

You have a passion for wine and gastronomy, and you understand that hospitality is all about sincere attention. You lead with confidence, empathy, and motivation. You speak fluent Dutch and English (German is a plus), move seamlessly between guests and team, and have a sharp sense of style, timing, and atmosphere. You’re also flexible – working evenings, weekends, and holidays fits your lifestyle.

If you also have knowledge of or affinity with sustainability and Green Key standards, you’ll feel right at home with us.

What We Offer

We offer employment under the Dutch hospitality collective labor agreement (KHN-cao), with a full-time workweek of 38 hours and 25 vacation days per year.
